Role Overview
The Proteomics Specialist will develop and optimize advanced proteomics workflows within the Structural Proteomics Unit, operating mass spectrometry platforms and managing large-scale studies with hundreds to thousands of samples. The role also involves providing technical support to facility users and contributing to methods development for DIA-based untargeted proteomics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize single-cell, spatial, plasma, and clinical proteomics workflows
- Operate and troubleshoot LC-MS platforms (Astral, Hybrid, Tribrid)
- Manage large-scale cohort studies; provide technical support to collaborators
- Standardize workflows and contribute to automation development
Requirements
- PhD in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or chemistry (by application deadline)
- Minimum 5 years bottom-up proteomics experience via mass spectrometry
- Proficiency with MaxQuant, FragPipe, DIA-NN, or Spectronaut
- Experience in spatial/tissue, clinical, or single-cell proteomics preferred
- Glycoproteomics, metabolomics, or ML in proteomics background is a plus
