SNSF Ambizione 2026 (Final Call)

SNSF Ambizione enables early-career researchers to conduct, manage, and lead an independent project at a Swiss higher education institution for up to 4 years, covering salary and project costs. This is the last Ambizione call before the scheme is reformed (a new postdoctoral programme launches in 2028). The submission deadline is 3 November 2026 at 17:00 CET.

SNSF Ambizione — Final Call

Eligibility: PhD or equivalent; apply within 4 years of doctorate (9 years for clinical researchers with ≥3 years clinical experience); ≥12 months postdoc experience; Swiss citizenship, Swiss institution degree, or ≥12 months research in Switzerland
Amount: Salary + full project costs; up to 4-year duration (amount varies by project scope)
Deadline: 3 November 2026, 17:00 CET
