EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships

Two-year postdoctoral fellowships supporting researchers to carry out independent research in life sciences laboratories across Europe and worldwide; international mobility between countries is a core requirement. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with a hard deadline of 10 July 2026 (14:00 CEST) for the next selection round; from 2026, a spring round will open with a January submission deadline. Benefits include salary/stipend, relocation allowance, dependent support, and access to EMBO leadership courses.

EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships

EMBO fellowships fund postdoctoral researchers for up to two years to pursue independent research at a host lab in a different country from their PhD institution.

Spring round (from 2026): Fourth Friday of January, 14:00 CET
Duration: Up to 2 years
