HFSP Long-Term Fellowships (LTF)
Three-year postdoctoral fellowships for scientists with a PhD in a biological discipline proposing to work abroad, well-suited to computational biologists moving into experimental collaborations. Letter of Intent window opens March 12, 2026 and closes May 12, 2026 (9:00 AM ET); full proposals are due September 24, 2026 (9:00 AM ET). Fellowships start between April 2027 and January 2028; funding covers a living allowance plus research/travel allowance (amount varies by host country).
HFSP Long-Term Fellowships support postdocs with a biology PhD to pursue frontier, interdisciplinary research abroad.

- Full Proposal deadline: September 24, 2026, 9:00 AM ET
- Duration: 3 years (non-renewable), starting April 2027–January 2028
- Eligibility: PhD conferred by Dec 31, 2027; degree awarded no more than 3 years before the proposal deadline; at least one lead-author peer-reviewed publication; cannot work in home country or with former supervisors
- Funding: Living allowance, research & travel allowance; optional child/parental/relocation allowances
